Mary G. Cristo Collection

Information about the Collection
Mary Gallagher Cristo was a professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Longwood College from 1969-1985. She received her B.S. and M.A. from the University of Virginia in 1965 and 1969. In 1975 she completed her doctoral work at the University in Virginia and received a PhD in Sociology.

It is unknown under what circumstances this collection came in to the Greenwood Library Archives.

Scope and Content
This collection contain drafts of Dr. Cristo’s 1975 dissertation, Factors Influencing Career Mobility and Career Attainment of Women in the Field of Education. The collection is organized by chapter/section.
