The purpose of our liaison program is to provide support for faculty and students in research, instruction, collection development, and scholarly communication.

Liaison Program Overview

Longwood University Library Liaison Program 

Library liaisons are available to:

  •  Answer questions, interpret library policies, and provide information about library resources
  •  Provide consultations for academic departments and administrative units
  •  Deliver course integrated instruction
  •  Provide research support for faculty
  •  Help faculty develop high quality collections in their subject areas, within budget constraints
  •  Support scholarly communication among faculty across disciplines
  •  Provide strategic and accreditation support for the institution

Visit Departments

Give presentations and demonstrate new library resources and services for programs or departments

Meet with Faculty One-on-One 

Consult with you on your information needs and direct you to the best information resources

Share information about your program with the library

Learn about Curricula

Learn about department curricula, course assignments and learning outcomes as they relate to the library

Assist with department, program, or campus self-study, and with re-accreditation

Create Research Guides
