Biographical Information
Avis Lorraine Kemp of Norfolk, Virginia, attended [then] State Female Normal School from 1910 to 1912. During her time at the school Kemp served as Art Director of The Virginian (yearbook) and was a member of the Athenian Literary Society. Additionally, she was named best artist, daintiest, and neatest, in the class of 1912 senior superlatives.
Provenance
This scrapbook, originally organized by Avis Kemp, was donated to the Greenwood Library Archives by her nieces, Mary Arthur Stoudemire ('34) and Anna Billups Jones ('40).
